Fourth City Rise: Skill Varsity Launched

The Telangana government's ambitious 'Fourth City' project is moving from paper to reality. With the vision of expanding the Hyderabad metropolis to meet future demands, a key milestone was achieved today in the proposed 'Future City' at Mucherla. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the construction of the world-class 'Telangana Skill University'. The event was attended by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, IT Minister Sridhar Babu, and leading industrialists.
What is the Fourth City?
After Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Cyberabad, the government aims to develop the 'Fourth City' as the next big growth engine. This new zone will primarily focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Health Tourism, and Sports infrastructure. As part of the Metro Rail expansion, a Detailed Project Report (DPR) has already been prepared to extend the Metro line from Shamshabad Airport to the Fourth City. The Skill University launched today aims to train one lakh youth annually in cutting-edge technologies, ensuring immediate employment opportunities.
Influx of Investments:
Leading industrial giants are showing keen interest in investing in this region. Conglomerates like Adani Group and Tata Technologies have already signed MoUs with the government. 'Our goal is to make Hyderabad the best city in the world,' remarked CM Revanth Reddy during the event. The decision to reallocate lands originally acquired for Pharma City to pollution-free industries and IT companies has also received positive feedback from environmentalists and urban planners.
